Summoning RNG
An overview of how summoning RNG works.
Much like Minting, summoning is not an exact science and there is an element of RNG to the process to increase the excitement when summoning Bezogi. When Bezogi are summoned, we use Chainlink VRF to provide a verifiable source of randomness on the blockchain to randomly decide the color of each body part based on the Bezogi used to summon.
Summoned Bezogi's breed and body color are directly derived from the two Bezogi used to summon, but with an added element of randomness, provided by Chainlink VRF, we are able to make the summoning process a much more engaging experience and add an element of luck to the process.
See the example below for a more in-depth explanation.

Example:

In this example, the player is summoning a Bezogi with two mixed-breed Bezogi. We will show each step of the process and we will summon a purebred Holyzogi in order to illustrate just how difficult it is to summon a purebred.
Bezogi 1
Bezogi 2
50% Darkzogi, 50% Freezogi
50% Mintzogi, 50% Holyzogi
Based on the above example, the body parts summoned Bezogi will start off at 25% to be Darkzogi, Freezogi, Mintzogi or Holyzogi. This is calculated by adding all matching body part percentages of the Bezogi being used to summon and dividing each total by 2.
Breed/Color
Percentage Chance in Summoned Bezogi
Darkzogi/Black
50%/2 = 25%
Freezogi/Green
50%/2 = 25%
Mintzogi/Gold
50%/2 = 25%
Holyzogi/White
50%/2 = 25%
The odds of the Nose being White/Holyzogi is 1 in 4.
This is a very simple example seen as there are only 4 colors and each is 25%. But the same methodology would be used to summon using more complex color schemes.

Step 1 - Nose

First we generate the color/breed of the nose. In this case there is a 25% chance for it to be each color, so we use Chainlink VRF in the smart contract to randomly generate which color the nose will be. For this example, we will assume the randomly selected color is White/Holyzogi.
  • Nose: White/Holyzogi
Now we move onto the eyes.

Step 2 - Eyes

This is where the odds are tweaked a little in order to make it more difficult to summon epics, mixed-breeds and purebreds. Seen as the Nose has been generated as White/Holyzogi, we now half the odds of all future body parts being white. So the odds will be as follows:
Breed/Color
Percentage Chance in Summoned Bezogi
Darkzogi/Black
29.17%
Freezogi/Green
29.17%
Mintzogi/Gold
29.17%
Holyzogi/White
12.5%
The odds of the Eyes being White/Holyzogi is 1 in 8.
In this case, we're illustrating how a purebred is summoned so again, the eyes will be generated as White/Holyzogi.
  • Nose: White/Holyzogi
  • Eyes: White/Holyzogi
Now we move onto the Fur Highlights.

Step 3 - Fur Highlights

Again, seen as the Eyes were generated as White/Holyzogi, we will half the odds of the Fur Highlights being white. The odds are now as follows:
Breed/Color
Percentage Chance in Summoned Bezogi
Darkzogi/Black
31.25%
Freezogi/Green
31.25%
Mintzogi/Gold
31.25%
Holyzogi/White
6.25%
The odds of the Fur Highlights being White/Holyzogi is 1 in 16.
Again, lets assume the Fur Highlight were generated as White/Holyzogi.
  • Nose: White/Holyzogi
  • Eyes: White/Holyzogi
  • Fur Highlights: White/Holyzogi

Step 4 - Fur

Yet again, seen as the Fur Highlights were generated as White/Holyzogi, we will half the odds of the Fur Highlights being white. The odds are now as follows:
Breed/Color
Percentage Chance in Summoned Bezogi
Darkzogi/Black
32.3%
Freezogi/Green
32.3%
Mintzogi/Gold
32.3%
Holyzogi/White
3.125%
The odds of the Fur being White/Holyzogi is 1 in 32.
Again, let's assume the Fur was generated as White/Holyzogi.
  • Nose: White/Holyzogi
  • Eyes: White/Holyzogi
  • Fur Highlights: White/Holyzogi
  • Fur: White/Holyzogi
We now have our purebred Holyzogi Bezogi! Now let's dive into the overall odds of that happening, just to show you how rare it is to summon a purebred, even using two mixed-breeds.
So we started off with a 1 in 4 chance, then a 1 in 8, a 1 in 16, ending with 1 in 32. So we can multiply these odds together to give the overall odds.
1/4 * 1/8 * 1/16 * 1/32 = 1 in 16,384 chance
These odds increase significantly when the two Bezogi used to summon have more dominant breeds, especially when they have matching colors. If you were to summon using two Bezogi with 80% White/Holyzogi body parts then the odds would be 1/1.25 * 1/2.5 * 1/5 * 1/10 = 1 in 156.25. If we push that up to 90% White/Holyzogi, the odds get significantly better with about a 1 in 97 chance.
To conclude, the odds of summoning the rarest types of Bezogi is extremely low, even when using high breed percentage Bezogi to summon.
